Month One Winner!

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls... We have our first winner!

When I first introduced 'the mindless poet', just a short time ago, I had no idea that it would be so popular. Sure, there are a ton of poetry contests out there, some more legitimate than others, but I created 'the mindless poet' hoping that it would become a gathering place for poets, to showcase their talents, to be tested by new challenges, and to better themselves as poets. Week one was a tremendous success!

As for the winner... there were plenty of excellent submissions. I enjoyed all of them, but honorable mentions go to S. Calvello, D.Kutney, Rich Stambolian, Chelsy Davis and Allie Saft. All of these were in my opinion excellent, and at one time or another were my personal favorites.

The winner this month though is A.Ostrowska, for 'So Much Pain'. I loved the simplicity of this poem, with true emotion and feeling. Congratulations to you, don't forget to contact me to claim your prize!
